Dropbox Inc. is out with the first development snapshot of Dropbox 2.6.0, the company’s upcoming major new update for users of the popular cloud service.

Released hours ago as a Release Candidate (RC) build, Dropbox 2.6.0 is not to be used for productivity purposes, as the software could be scattered with bugs.

Dropbox Inc. has included a redesigned Setup Wizard, the ability to Pause Syncing from the tray popup, new Installers for Mac and Windows users (nothing of the sort for the Linux camp, apparently), and a “significantly more responsive” Selective Sync user interface, according to the release notes.

As usual, Softpedia offers the latest Dropbox versions for download at the included links below. There, users can also grab the newest Stable version of the software (Dropbox 2.4.10).
