Dropbox, a client for an online service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere, no matter the platform, is now at version 2.2.3 RC.

Dropbox 2.2.3 RC is a development version and it is way ahead of the stable branch. It brings a lot of new features, but keep in mind that not all of them will make it into the final version.

Just like it happens with most of the releases from Dropbox, the Linux version has been largely ignored and the new version only features changes for other platforms.

This doesn't mean that the numbering of the Linux client hasn't changed. It has, but nothing new has been implemented.

Highlights of Dropbox 2.2.3 RC:

• An issue has been fixed on Mac OS X 10.4, which caused files to disappear after uploading; • A rare issue on Windows, which caused the Dropbox client to endlessly sync files with long paths, has been fixed.
