The cross-platform online task manager DropTask now comes in a Pro version that adds a bunch of new features users will surely find helpful.

Think Productivity, the developer behind DropTask, introduced the latest addition to the service this week, with added functionality that offers everyone a way to manage the overall progress of projects and team members.

The original version gives everyone access to quite a few features for free, including the ability to create projects and to invite people to collaborate on them, as well as cross-device synchronization, unlimited tasks and groups, notifications, task status, daily summary emails complete with due dates, and integration of Google contacts.

DropTask Pro adds even more capabilities. For instance, it’s now possible to attach files and subtasks, to set up task reminders, send tasks directly from your email account and request updates from collaborators.

Furthermore, the premium version of the task manager comes with project templates and themes for an easier customization, Google Calendar integration and the ability to copy and move projects.

What’s the difference for your pocket? Well, the original version is free for everyone, while the latter costs $6.5 per month, or $65 per year. Companies interested in these solutions are also getting offered a deal with the price dropping as the number of team members rises.

“We've become increasingly aware of the growing demand from our users to offer more powerful features. The launch of DropTask PRO now means that individuals and teams can really enhance the way they manage their daily workload, to achieve more valuable and significant results,” said Darren Rees, DropTask’s head of Development.

The smart task manager is quite an uncomplicated tool, making it very easy for anyone to use and extremely visually attractive. The app is built in a way that makes it user friendly.

Furthermore, there won’t be big differences when switching platforms since the drag-and-drop method is used on both desktop and mobile gadgets.

The fact that you can keep track of all the changes made to the tasks is also handy since you will always know who made what modification and when.

As mentioned, DropTask is already available for iPad and iPhone, while an Android version has been on the way for a while now. The app also works offline, meaning that you can make any changes you want to the tasks or assign new ones that will get updated when an Internet connection is detected.
