The NYPD went looking for him after watching his YouTube video of the stunt

Police have arrested a man who was able to circle Manhattan in the record time of 24 minutes, setting an unofficial record.

Of course, that's not illegal. However, he didn't exactly follow traffic regulations while driving.

I mentioned YouTube user AfroDuck yesterday. He submitted a video of the August 26 ride in his 2006 BMW Z4, a car with a large engine and a manual gearbox.

Since the clip became viral, police caught up to the driver. According to autoevolution, New York Police Department Ray Kelly made it his personal goal to catch him, as law enforcement officials do not encourage these kinds of stunts.

The user was speeding on the Henry Hudson Parkway and he passed six red lights without stopping. This is not his first time – in 2007, he made the trip in 27 minutes.
