It's really nice to see Asus carrying on the development of powerful notebooks intended for gaming purposes, and the G75VW is a really worthy competitor for pretty much any other laptop on the market, Alienware included.

The G75VW can be ordered in two CPU “flavors”: as expected, Intel 3rd generation of Core processors are on the inside – i7 3720QM or 3610QM. Despite the fact that the DDR3 modules will accommodate 1600 MHz DIMMs, we expected the Asus G75VW to be able to house more than 16 GB of memory; 24 or even 32 GB would have better suited the ultimate fighting machine” tag advertised by Asus for this notebook.

Gamers will enjoy the 17.3 HD, 3D LED monitor receiving vivid images form either GeForce GTX 660M or GTX 670M cards, boasting 2 GB of VRM, and 3 GB, respectively. Storage options let future customers choose between a massive 1TB HDD @ 5400rpm, 500 GB/750 GB @ 5400/7200 rpm, a 750GB 7200 rpm SSH or a 256 GB SSD solution.

No more USB 2.0 ports are present, as all 4 USB connectors are 3.0, and the Blu-ray drive and HD webcam are stock equipment. A built-in subwoofer was also a good idea for a more massive sound. Yet, if you plan to take the Asus G75VW with you on a trip, the 4.5 kg might be a bit of a trouble.

You can now download BIOS, utilities and drivers for the Asus G75VW gaming notebook, for free as always.
