Driveclub has received a few more details straight from one of its developers at Evolution Studios, who confirmed that the PS Plus edition will have very few limitations, although the actual game will lack different things like local split-screen multiplayer.

Driveclub is one of the launch-day games for the PlayStation 4 next-gen console, and Evolution Studios is working hard alongside Sony to make sure that the racing experience will thrill those who get the new device this November.

What's more, besides offering it as a regular, full-priced game, the title will also be launched via the PlayStation Plus service for free to all members.

That version of the game will have some limitations and not the whole range of cars or tracks, but an upgrade to the full edition is going to be available, according to Evolution's Paul Rustchynsky, who talked with fans on NeoGAF and posted a list of details about the PS Plus edition.

- The PS+ Edition of Driveclub will be available well into the new year, so no need to worry. - There will be a discount to upgrade to the full digital edition from the PS+ edition, but prices won't be announced for a few more weeks yet. - When you upgrade from the PS+ Edition you get the full digital edition which doesn't require a PS+ subscription. - You can earn the platinum trophy in the PS+ Edition, remember it’s the full game minus a few cars/tracks.

The Driveclub developer also shared some regular details about the game and how rear-view mirrors have been modified, while the split-screen mode has been scrapped altogether.

- Rear-view mirrors as you've seen in the latest direct feed footage just show the environment – you'd be surprised how limited the visibility in the mirrors are for a lot of these cars and for gameplay purposes we want to give the best visibility. - We are working on a photo mode, but that's all I can say about it right now. - No Split-Screen I'm afraid.

Driveclub is out right alongside the PlayStation 4 on November 15 in North America, and November 29 in Europe.
