Driveclub developer Evolution Studios has confirmed a few more things about its new PlayStation 4 exclusive racing game, saying that it will not have microtransactions for consumable items, although DLC will be made available.

Driveclub was presented right alongside the PS4 announcement more than a year ago and was confirmed as a launch-day game for the PS4 console at its release in November. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, as Sony and Evolution decided to delay the project indefinitely so that it can deliver the great experience fans are hoping for.

While the two companies are still staying quiet about the project, Design Director Paul Rustchynsky has stepped forward on Twitter to confirm a few rumors about microtransactions.

He confirmed that there will be no consumables offered for in-game cash, saying that, "To be clear on microtransactions, Driveclub will of course offer content to purchase/download. But there will not be any 'consumables'."

What's more, he also confirmed that the time frame for release is still 2014 but can't offer a more specific launch window just yet, meaning fans will have to keep on waiting for an official release in the near future.

According to previous rumors, Driveclub might launch as early as June on the PS4.
