Driveclub developer Evolution Studios confirms that it's used quite a bit of feedback from fans while creating the upcoming Japanese tracks that will appear as free DLC for the title in the following months, addressing requests such as wider tracks or epic layouts.

Driveclub launched back in October of last year on the PS4 platform, and despite almost a one-year delay, the game still fumbled during its launch period as the online servers and multiplayer mode weren't capable of handling all the different users.

After a pretty long time, Evolution managed to get things under control and deliver a smooth social racing experience for those who wanted to take full advantage of the game.

Now, the studio is working on plenty of DLC, from new cars and tracks, to fresh liveries and other such things.

Among them are the Japanese tracks, with the first being Nakasendo, which is set to appear this month and got a proper gameplay video yesterday.

The new tracks are influenced by fan feedback

While talking with fans on Facebook, Evolution confirms that its team did a lot of research for the Japanese tracks, but most of all, the feedback from fans made a big difference in how the tracks were designed and how they felt.

According to the studio, plenty of fans wanted an epic feel to the DLC tracks, not to mention wider roads to ensure you can battle as intended for supremacy with others.

"Thanks for all of your feedback so far about the tracks in the game! Along with our own research and gameplay data analysis, your input has been a big help in shaping all of the tracks we're developing for Japan. Especially the many, many requests for an epic point-to-point like this and for wider tracks to make fighting for position less frustrating, particularly in online races."

You can expect to see much more of Driveclub's Japanese DLC tracks in the following weeks. All of them will be offered free by the studio, while car packs and other items will be available as premium add-ons and are covered by the Season Pass.
