14 DAY TRIAL // Evolution Studios, the developer of the recent Driveclub PS4 exclusive racing game, confirms that it's constantly upgrading the servers for the experience in order to accommodate the long-awaited Driveclub PS Plus Edition that's set to be free to all subscribers, while working on new features.
Driveclub came out back in October of last year, after a one-year delay, and as soon as it went live, the multiplayer portion of the racing game experienced lots of outages and problems, forcing Evolution to postpone indefinitely the promised PS Plus edition of the game.
That specific version was set to include a certain number of cars and tracks and act as a sort of exclusive demo for those who had PlayStation plus subscriptions.
Now, after confirming that a new update is coming next week that will take the title to version 1.12 and deliver things like the replay option, Evolution mentions on Facebook the array of things it has in the works for the racing title.
Evolution is working on many new features and improvements
First and foremost, Evolution once again mentions that it's continuously upgrading the servers for the game in order to improve online stability but also to allow for a proper support of the PS Plus edition, when it eventually launches. Unfortunately, no date was given so it's still unclear when it might debut.
The studio is also working on private lobbies for multiplayer, not to mention replays for online races. These two features require extra work and will launch at a later point in time.
Evolution promises that it's only halfway through the "DLC season," meaning new cars, tracks, and more will appear for Driveclub until July. Extra rewards and driver levels are also going to debut, but the studio isn't ready to share them just yet.
Expect to hear more about Driveclub's future plans in the following weeks, after the new patch and its March DLC packs appear.
