The development team at Evolution Studios is ready to confirm that the install size for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive is 17 GB and that all gamers who want to play the title quickly need to only wait for the 3.5 GB to be downloaded to the hard drive before they can actually enter a race.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of Paul Rustchynsky, the director working on the video game, who also says that the game is at the moment Gold, which means that there are no changes that can take place before launch.

DriveClub will be launched on October 7 in the United States and will only be offered on the Sony home consoles, with European gamers getting access to it one day later.

The new title was supposed to be a launch title for the PS4, but the two companies have decided to delay it in order to make sure that the level of quality is high.

Gamers who pick up the game will be able to join forces with friends and create clubs that can stage their own complex events.

A Season Pass is at the moment offered for DriveClub and a new car will be included for free each month until June 2015.

To actually start playing #DRIVECLUB you only need to download the first ~3.5GB, so you can play whilst the rest downloads in the background — Paul Rustchynsky (@Rushy33) September 14, 2014
