When will these developers realize that most people have several GIGS of ram, I am still looking and trying to find the distro that brings the most joy, but I hate having 4 gigs of ram on spring break on my 6 gig Mac Pro.....

Have you tried OpenSuse? That OS requires a system to have at least ! GB Ram for install (like Windows Vista), and has some interesting "stuff." Check it out.

Crawling with bugs. Problems too numerous to list. Any claim that a download is a "live CD" version is a lie. A big pain and headache. Lots of hype over nothing, in my opinion. If someone is a puzzle-solver with days and days to sit and read/write code, then this is the project for you! This system needs a lot of work before it's ready for public distribution.

I am a fan of dreamlinux as it is fast and looks good
BUT I tried everything I could think of
and find out to get online and no connection.
It said it was connected once and still
didn't work. I installed "Mint" Linux and
went online easily to look for ways to fix
this Dreamlinux internet problem on a DELL
computer. Even Puppy Linux needs
no configuration to go online.
What's up with this? How do I fix it?
I highly recommend Dreamlinux otherwise.

Installed Dreamlinux 3.5 on my pc (Athlon64 x2 5400BE, DFI LP DK 790FX, Radeon 4850, and 32G SSD SiliconPower). Everything was ok, The only issue was with compiz, and had to edit xorg.conf several times before I could make it work, but now everything works, no problem with network connection, nor with wifi.
