14 DAY TRIAL // Good news for Japanese role-playing game fans, the Collector's Edition of Drakengard 3 is coming out soon, and we've got all the details.
The news came through the European PlayStation Blog, where Lee Williams, Square Enix's Community Manager has offered more details on the upcoming release plans.
As such, all the feedback from fans apparently paid off, as a deluxe version of Drakengard 3 for the PlayStation 3 is making its way toward the shores of Europe as we speak.
It's certainly taken a while for the company to react to the community's voiced demands, but the decision is now final, there will be a Collector's Edition and it will also feature all the Japanese voice-over content.
The contents of the Collector's Edition of Drakengard 3 come in a Clamshell Box, a display case that features the flower growing from Zero's eye.
Inside the box, players will find the 160 prequel novella, a beautifully illustrated collection of stories written from the perspectives of each of the characters, available in the English language only.
Also inside the pack are the downloadable tokens for the Caim costume, and additional levels where players will be able to play as One, Zero's sister, and a Giant Baby Hat for Zero's dragon, Mikhail, as well as a CD containing a selection of tracks from the game's original soundtrack, composed by Neri composer Keiichi Okabe.
Additionally, players will also discover a collectable double-sided poster that is only available in the Collector's Edition of Drakengard 3 for Europe and PAL territories, and a download token for the original Japanese voice acting.
The Japanese voice-over DLC is part of the Collector's Edition, but it will also become available for owners of the regular version, if they choose to pre-order the standard digital game through the PlayStation store, once pre-orders will become available in mid-April.
The Collector's Edition of Drakengard 3 will only be available on the Square Enix Store, in a very limited run of just 2000 copies.
Drakengard 3 comes out in North America on May 20, in Europe on May 21 and in Australia on May 22, exclusively for the PlayStation 3 home entertainment system from Sony.
