It seems that just last month we were gushing about how Rihanna and drake made such a cute couple and how they brought out the best in each other. Today, we're hearing reports that all that love and tenderness has actually caused a split between the two who are now both back on the market.

The gossip is that Drake and Rihanna never planned on going steady and forming a traditional couple, although it sure looked like it for the time they were together. Just last week there were indications that a major fight had occurred between the singers when Drake called Rihanna “too needy.”

Rihanna was angered and hurt by this and proceeded to freeze out Drake, to the point that they've now split up. A source informed Us Weekly that “Rihanna and Drake had another fight,” but it's the reason that's most shocking, “He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem. They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them.”

Their romance was short lived and tumultuous. They were first spotted together in Paris this February. Rihanna showed up for Drake's concert in France and they ended up spending the night dancing and talking.

A month passed and the next time they were spotted together, they were already holding hands outside a club in London. The media outlets went wild with speculations regarding the new couple, but they seemed oblivious to all the attention and didn't hide their romance at all.

The report that the singers have decided to call it quits is backed up by an insider who confirms that they “are currently on yet another break.” It's odd that the reason being given for this split is too much love.

If we had to put money down on why these two would split up, it would have been Rihanna's previous affair with Chris Brown, which seemed to bother Drake in some odd way. Of course, it helped that Rihanna seems to be partial to drama from men fighting over her, “Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of course. [Rihanna] loves the drama,” said a source back in 2012 when Drake and Chris Brown's entourage met up in a club in Manhattan.

Now, whether these two decide to patch things up and become a couple, it remains to be seen, but for now, Rihanna is back on the market and she's playing the field.
