14 DAY TRIAL // Both Chris Brown and Drake dated Rihanna at some point and, even though neither is with her right now, they're still definitely not over her. They got into a violent fight the other night, with Chris ending up with a nasty gash on his chin.
Reports online say that the two have been hating each other for long, though their longstanding feud might not be directly linked to Rihanna.
The other night, at a NYC club, the two singers clashed, as also did their entourage.
Media Take Out says the fight definitely started because of Rihanna, in the sense that Drake told Chris something about her that upset him.
The celebrity e-zine says that both were partying with their entourage at the club, when Chris thought of sending a bottle of champagne over to Drake's table as a courtesy.
Instead of accepting the sign of good will, Drake sent it back, along with a message that cut to the bone: “I'm [expletive]-ing the love of your life [Rihanna], deal with it.”
Next thing you know, Chris was over at Drake's table for an explanation and all hell broke loose.
TMZ reports that, by the time cops arrived on the scene, both stars had left the premises.
“TMZ has confirmed with the NYPD that the two singers' crews got into a fight at WIP nightclub – 5 people were injured in the melee. NYPD arrived on the scene after receiving a call between 4 and 5am. Chris and Drake were not present when cops arrived,” TMZ writes.
As per the same report, no one was injured badly: “just bumps, bruises and lacerations. No arrests were made.”
After the incident, Chris took to his Twitter to spread the word of the incident, basically accusing Drake of not fighting like a man and hiding behind his bodyguards.
As if that wasn't enough, he also refused to fight fair, instead throwing a bottle at Chris' face, leaving him with an impressive gash on the chin.
To back up his words, Brown also tweeted a photo of the wound, of which MTO says required a trip to the hospital and several stitches.
“How u party wit rich [N-word] that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!,” Brown tweeted.
