Dragonica is a pretty different beast from the various MMOs or even the free ones available on the market. The title, which will be offered in Europe by the gPotato team, is a side scroller with bright colors and quick action aiming to attract a big number of gamers.

The developers have detailed four playable characters until now, showing off their special moves and how they would impact the play style of gamers. The Warrior, for example, is said to be agile and fearless. He is very handy with a sword, capable of throwing it to stop enemies in their tracks, launching into a special attack that can damage more than one enemy and even fighting enemies while up in the air. The Warrior also has the ability to pull a giant hammer in order to take out an enemy. The character progression of Dragonica allows a Warrior to become either a Gladiator or a Knight. The first one gets two handed swords and no shields, while Knights get new magic powers.

The Magician is a ranged fighter than can do a bit of close combat. He can use a meteor strike and an Earth shattering attack. There's also a lighting bolt that can take out enemies in the air and the development of the Magician can lead to a Monk, focusing on healing powers, or a Battlemage, who are more focused on dealing a lot of damage quickly.

Archers fight at range and don't like to be approached in close combat. An Archer can knock enemies back, while also dealing a lot of damage. The class can be upgraded to a Hunter or an Arbalist, adding new special powers, like calling rockets from the sky and launching grenades.

The Thief is, as you can expect, focused on attacking with powerful weapons and then retreating quickly to strike again. He also has the ability to launch fireballs and a giant boxing glove. He has the ability to turn into the Jester or the Assassin, fresh classes that can become invisible or hiding in a noodle box.
