Dragon Quest V Secrets and List of Characters (PS2)

Dragon Quest V is a console role-playing game and the fifth installment in the Dragon Quest video game series developed by Chunsoft and published by the Enix Corporation. It is the first Dragon Quest title to be released for the Nintendo Super Famicom video game console. It was first released for the SFC in Japan on September 27, 1992, and has been remade as a PS2 game in 2004 in Japan, which was developed by Heartbeat and published by Square Enix. It remains one of the two installments in the series to not have been released in North America (the other game being Dragon Quest VI). Enix did not release the game outside of Japan due to programming issues discovered after the game's Japan release.

While the game was never officially translated, two fan translations exist for the Super Famicom version. Dragon Quest V takes place over twenty years of the main character's life, in which he gets married and has a family. The title features an interesting gameplay dynamic in which monsters from random encounters may offer to join your party. This concept was used in later Dragon Quest games, and focused on exclusively in the Dragon Quest Monsters series. This idea would be later used in the Pok�mon video game series.

List of Characters
The Hero is, in the first place, a six-year-old boy who travels all around the world along with his father, Papas. After the death of Papas, he is in hard labor as a slave for building the great temple. 10 years after, he finally escapes from there and he starts a journey to find his mother.

Martha is the mother of the Hero, who is said to have died soon after the Hero was born. She came from Elhaven and hence kept power to tame monsters.

Papas is the father of the Hero. Once he was the king of Granbania, he left his homeland to search the Legendary Hero and his wife.

Sancho is the attendant of Papas, who usually stays in Santa Rosa

Bianca is a daughter of innkeepers of Alkapa and the childhood friend of the hero. After growing up, she moves to a mountainside village for recuperation of her father.

Henry is a prince of Reinhart. Reinhart has been in trouble and one of two princes, Henry and his brother, should succeed to the throne.

Dale is a younger brother of Henry, also a prince of Reinhart.

Ludman is a wealthy man living in Salabona. He seeks his daughter's bridegroom who is able to pass his trial.

Flora is a daughter of Ludman, who recently got back from a religious house.

Maria had been a priestess of the enigmatic temple, but got into slavery for a blunder. After escape, she lives in a seaside church as a nun.

Borongo is a baby panther who is saved from bullying by the Hero and Bianca. He can also be named Chirol, Puckul, or Grolin.

Andy is a friend of Flora's. He desires to marry her.

Secrets

Secret Dungeon
Beat the game and make the end game save on your last saved file. Load it and use the spell 'Ruura' to head to Evil Mountain. Instead of entering Evil Mountain, head directly southwards to what seems to be a poisonous swamp. You will enter the secret dungeon.
