Video game developer BioWare is continuing to take a closer look at some of the actors involved with the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the focus at the moment is Ramon Tikaram, who is the voice of the powerful and Tevinter-based mage Dorian, who shows his actual wizardly powers in a new video.

The team states, “It's one thing to voice a mage, quite another to bend the elements to your will. Ramon Tikaram, the voice of Dorian, has recently taken up the art of magic. Inspired by his character, he shows off some of the illusions and sleight of hand he's been practicing.”

The footage is designed to acquaint the player base with the voice actor and show more of his playful side.

Dorian seems to be one of the more mysterious characters included in the coming role-playing title, having to deal with a world where most people are afraid of his origins, an outcast looking to redeem himself by battling a powerful evil presence.

The mage will have a complement of powerful attacks, but BioWare has said that the entire class will be rather limited when it comes to healing because it wants gamers to focus on potions and manage them closely in order to keep everyone alive through the most difficult sections of the experience.

BioWare focuses on characters, story

The decision to deliver a video for Dragon Age: Inquisition which does not focus on one of the core features of the title but rather on a voice actor might strike some as unusual, but the development team at BioWare has long been known for the way it manages to create interesting characters and deep stories that fascinate its fans.

Showing Ramon Tikaram and other members of the cast allows players to create a better emotional connection with them.

The story of Dragon Age: Inquisition will be focused on a tear in the Veil, which is allowing demons and creatures from the Fade to invade the world of the living.

Players will have to recruit a number of powerful allies and deal with the political situation around them in order to marshal the forces required to take out the demonic armies and to then find out who has been opening the rift and how it can be closed for good.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be launched on November 18 on the PlayStation 4, the PC, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles.
