Video game developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have confirmed that the special Inquisitor’s Edition for Dragon Age: Inquisition will only be offered via GameStop, and interested players can pre-order it at the moment to secure one of a limited number of available copies.

The official announcement states that gamers can get the special package on the Xbox One and the 360 from Microsoft, the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 from Sony.

BioWare is not saying how many of the Inquisitor’s Editions will be manufactured and if it plans to introduce an extra production run if they are all sold before the game is officially launched on October 7.

At the moment, GameStop is not allowing gamers in Europe to order the package on the PC, although more information is promised soon and it seems that gamers who do not have access to it will only be able to get the Digital Deluxe version of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The special Inquisitor’s Edition includes, according to the official site:

Highly detailed exclusive Inquisitor Collector's Edition case produced by TriForce, approximately 3.5" x 7.5" x 11.5" The case is wrapped in faux reptile skin and has the mark of the Inquisitor stamped on top in gold foil, with an interior fitted with imprinted red silk Cloth map of Thedas drawn to scale, approximately 14" x 17" 72 card Major and Minor Arcana tarot card deck with custom artwork depicting mythology from Dragon Age lore Inquisitor full scale, six piece, lock tool set One set of four full-scale map markers, each approximately 3.5" x 2.5" x 3" Inquisitor's badge Quill and inkpot 40-page Inquisitor's journal Orlesian coins Limited-edition SteelBook™ case to house your copy of the game

BioWare and its partners are apparently still finishing the content of the package and might change some items before it is delivered to those who are willing to pay 170 dollars or Euro for it.

The development team has said that the Inquisitor’s Edition for the new Dragon Age is designed to appeal to long-term fans of the series and has been specifically created to give them items that can be collected to show their love for the game universe.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is created using the Frostbite 3 engine from DICE, which means that the entire game world looks better than it ever did.

BioWare says that it will use a more open structure for the title, with plenty of zones that gamers can explore and influence via their actions.

At the same time, a number of characters from previous titles will make a return and will influence the narrative in interesting ways.
