Cameron Lee, a producer working on Dragon Age: Inquisition, says that the Qunari in the upcoming game will have plenty of valid reasons to lead powerful organizations and become more involved in the affairs of other races.

When the game was delayed one reason given was that the extra time was needed to make sure that the new playable race was fully fleshed out.

The developer tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “There is a valid reason why Qunari are sitting on the throne of the Inquisition, as there is for an elf. Elves have been persecuted in this world, so how would a human nation feel about having an Elven inquisitor come up to them and talk to them?”

He says that main writer David Gaider and his team are putting together a complex set of stories that will shape player actions and attitudes.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to launch on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 in late 2014.
