Video game developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts are delivering a massive new amount of footage linked to their upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is designed to offer gamers a look at the character creation interface and to then reveal the design of an entirely new area, set in the Deep Roads.

Cameron Lee, one of the producers working on the title, is featured on the Twitch stream and offers commentary on all the new features and explains why the studio has made certain decisions.

There are also questions coming from the community that get answered, on topics ranging from the combat system to the way the story will evolve based on player choices.

Creating the perfect main character

Since the first Dragon Age, BioWare has aimed to introduce a solid character creation system, allowing players to recreate their own look in the game or to simply put together a perfect fantasy specimen.

For Inquisition, the company has introduced a lot more choices, which vary depending on race, and gamers will be able to use small touches like tattoos to make their protagonist look unique, using sliders and positioning for a range of features.

The demo of Dragon Age: Inquisition is running on the PC, but the team is controlling the action using a console controller.

Once again into the Deep Roads

After the main character is created, gamers will be dumped into a starting area and will have to start the difficult task of boosting the power of the Inquisition in order to deal with the major problems of Thedas, including the tear in the Veil which is allowing Fade demons to attack the world of the living.

Meanwhile, the team at BioWare is jumping ahead in time in order to show a section of the Deep Roads that gamers will be able to explore, once more taking a look at the legacy of the dwarves and the artifacts that they have left behind.

The gameplay demo is pretty detailed and allows fans to take a look at the combat mechanics, both tactical-driven and action-focused, and on the way, a range of character abilities can be used to take out enemies without the party taking too much damage.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be out on November 18 in the United States and on November 21 in Europe on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PC and last-gen consoles.
