BioWare offers even more details about the customization system that allows Dragon Age: Inquisition players to personalize their own Skyhold castle, confirming that new elements can be found on main quests, in side-quests but also at merchants.

Dragon Age: Inquisition promises to deliver a sprawling role-playing experience that puts players in the boots of the Inquisitor, the sole survivor of a cataclysmic event that now needs to lead the inquisition and stop a great evil.

Skyhold is the main base of operations

During their adventures, players will organize the inquisition and their forces from the Skyhold castle, a worn-down fortress that, throughout the campaign, gets brought back to glory.

Here, players can direct the war efforts of the inquisition, send agents to complete missions, as well as choose what story quests they do and how they can fight against the Elder One.

Players can customize the castle in many ways

During the restauration process, players will be able to choose how they can customize the actual castle, according to BioWare's Cameron Lee, who talks on the official website about this mechanic.

"As you progress, you'll notice some parts of Skyhold expanding and becoming more detailed. Murals may be painted, and trophies collected and mysterious artifacts researched by your Inquisition followers. All of this and more has a physical impact on Skyhold."

Players will be able to choose what they can do with big parts of the castle in terms of functionality, but also when it comes to decorations, like statues.

"Skyhold can be customized to reflect what sort of Inquisition you're leading. You choose what to do with major parts of the castle such as towers and the courtyard as well as decorations like statues, windows, drapes, furniture, and even the heraldry your Inquisition forces will take into the world."

Last but not least, Lee also mentions that players will be able to find new items for the customization of Skyhold during their main adventures, but also in side quests as well as at various merchants during their travels.

"There are many ways for you to obtain new items to personalize your Skyhold. Some are found as you explore the world, others require you to complete side quests, and you can buy some from merchants you'll meet in other towns and cities."

Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to launch this November across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms around the world.
