Another big detail about Dragon Age: Inquisition's newly confirmed cooperative multiplayer mode has just surfaced, this time with developer BioWare confirming that the mode's characters can take up to a level cap of 20.

Dragon Age: Inquisition promises to deliver a sprawling single-player story campaign with a lengthy plot, some great characters, allies, and villains, and much more.

Yesterday, BioWare also confirmed that Inquisition will feature a multiplayer mode that consists of a four-player cooperative experience. It's already been confirmed that 12 characters are going to be included at launch and now some more details have appeared, via an official FAQ.

All characters can be taken up to a level cap of 20. Upon reaching that threshold, players have the option to promote their characters and restart from level 1. This mechanic should sound familiar to those who played BioWare's last game, Mass Effect 3, which had a similar system for its own cooperative multiplayer mode.

"The level cap for Dragon Age multiplayer is 20. Once you hit level 20, you can promote your character, which will give you an extra attribute point for your MP characters. Promoting a character will also give you more Prestige points for the leaderboards."

As such, there will be plenty of reasons to once again start with your character from scratch, especially after you already take a few to level 20.
