Dragon Age: Inquisition has a launch date and confirmed platforms, and fans of the franchise can already place a pre-order for the new role-playing title from BioWare, but truly dedicated gamers might want to drop their regular purchase in order to take a look at the newly revealed Uber Edition of the title.

The package was first shown on Twitter by Mark Darrah, who is an executive producer working on the experience and who gave it the Uber name, and at the moment it only seems to be available for pre-order through GameStop.

It’s unclear whether BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have any plans to also launch it using any other retailers.

The Uber Edition for Dragon Age: Inquisition will include a lot of content and will cost gamers 170 dollars or Euro.

The special version of the game comes with:

- an exclusive case created by TriFroce that shows of motives from the game world and can store all the included real world content, wrapped in fake reptile skin with an interior lined with red silk; - a cloth map of Thedas drawn to scale; - a tarot card deck with 72 cards, called Major and Minor Arcana, which has custom artwork that uses mythology and mystic elements from the lore of Dragon Age; - a full scale six tool lock pick set with an Inquisitor theme; - a full set of map markers; - an Inquisitor’s Badge; - a quill and inkpot; - a special 40 page Inquisitor’s Journal; - Orlesian coins; - limited edition SteelBook case.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is one of the most interesting launches of the coming year, but it will be interesting to see how many of the fans of the franchise are willing to part with a substantial amount of money in order to get the special edition.

As launch date nears, developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts might add more editions for the title.

The game is designed to introduce a more open structure than previously seen in the series and will use the Frostbite 3 engine from DICE in order to generate a wide variety of environments, each with its own fauna and set of challenges.

Players will be able to recruit a wide variety of companions as they try to deal with a major tear in the Fade, which is allowing demons to assault Orlais.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be launched on October 7 on the PC, PlayStation 4, the PS3, the Xbox One and the 360.
