Dragon Age: Inquisition has received a huge amount of new details from a panel held by developer BioWare at PAX Prime, confirming that players can control a Qunari character, while revealing things about the exploration system, the army management one, or how more details will be offered by the revamped dialog wheel.

Dragon Age games have delivered some mixed experiences as, while the universe crafted by BioWare impressed many, both Origins and Dragon Age 2 had a few drawbacks when compared to other medieval fantasy RPGs.

With Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare wants to deliver a big improvement thanks to the Frostbite 3 engine and to the feedback gathered from fans.

Quite a few new details have been confirmed by the studio at a panel organized over the weekend at PAX Prime, where senior developers presented various new gameplay info, according to IGN.

First and foremost, for the first time in the history of the series, players can control characters from the Qunari race, as a male or a female can be chosen at the start of the game.

Quite a few male Qunari have played big roles in the stories of the previous games, but Inquisition will show for the first time a female member of the imposing race.

What's more, the exploration of the world will use, according to BioWare, "honest discovery," meaning there won't be quests forcing players to go to remote locations, like caves, just to get a trinket from there.

Instead, the studio hopes that players will be drawn by curiosity to explore different locations for various rewards.

As the player progresses through the story, the forces of the Inquisition will get bigger and bigger. They can be managed and deployed to certain locations and fix various situations.

One example showed a team of Inquisition forces go to a valley filled with poisonous gas and eliminate a source, thereby allowing players to explore the actual location.

Last but not least, Dragon Age: Inquisition has a special new dialog wheel system that will give more information to the player about the actions of his or her character. While it won't reveal word for word what the hero will say, there will be info about the repercussions of choosing that course of action so that unwanted situations are avoided by the player.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is out in 2014 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
