BioWare and Electronic Arts have offered a few more details about the protagonist of Dragon Age: Inquisition as well as the game's Digital Deluxe edition, which includes a variety of bonus content, from gear, to the soundtrack, and more.

Dragon Age: Inquisition has received quite a few different details in recent weeks, starting with an October release date, to lots of info about its gameplay, its companions, and how players can shape the story using their different actions.

BioWare has prided itself with the ability to listen to fan feedback, and it's certainly showing with Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Now, Lead Writer David Gaider has talked to Polygon about the actual protagonist, the Inquisitor, who emerges as the only survivor of a cataclysmic explosion that wipes out many Templar and Mage leaders at a peace summit.

The Inquisitor is the only survivor and wields the ability to close Fade portals that keep spawning monsters around the fictional world of Thedas.

"There's an interesting undertone here of people in the world believing that you have been sent as a leader by the maker of the universe," Laidlaw said. "As a player, I have the option of saying, 'Oh yeah, I'm the chosen one' or asking what the hell they are talking about. It's up to the player."

"After the big explosion, the heads of the factions in the civil war are killed and so the Inquisition moves in to fill the gap. Once you come out of the Fade, you show yourself to be a leader. Someone has to take control and the power of the Inquisition gives you the freedom to take action."

Besides these details about the protagonist, EA has also updated the Dragon Age: Inquisition listing on its Origin service, confirming that the title will be available as a standard and a Digital Deluxe version.

This version is set to feature a variety of different bonuses, including the Skyhold Throne for the Inquisition headquarters, two different mounts, in the form of the Red Hart Halla and the Bog Unicorn, not to mention the actual soundtrack. More digital content is going to be announced soon for this version of the game.

What's more, this version of Dragon Age: Inquisition include the Flames of the Inquisition pre-order bonus, which consists of multi-class weapons, like a staff, a set of daggers, a greatsword, or a war hammer, as well as a set of armor and an armored mount.
