Developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have confirmed that they are working on a new Dragon Age video game, the third one in the series, and that it will bear the name Inquisition.

The two companies have also refused to offer more information about the game and it seems that the team wants to make sure that it has a solid chunk of the game to show to players before doing a big reveal.

On an official post on the game’s blog, Mark Darrah, one of the producers working at BioWare, has stated, “Recently, I said that we didn´t want to talk about Dragon Age III unless we had something to show. I´m trying to stick to that plan and won´t be revealing much today.”

He added, “That said, a lot of information and rumors have surfaced recently and we don´t want to hide from them. There are a BUNCH of things that I really want to share with you but I want to do this right, and doing it right requires some more time.”

Darrah revealed that many of the members of the Dragon Age III: Inquisition team had also worked on the first and second games in the series and that they had also recruited a number of new developers that brought innovative ideas to the project.

The designer also revealed that BioWare had been working on the game for about two full years and that for 18 months the process had been ramping up.

The company refused to confirm or deny the various rumors that appeared about Dragon Age III, saying that the team would offer more information when it felt ready to do so.

The new game will use the Frostbite 2 engine from DICE and it seems that one of the focuses will be on customization, when it comes to aspects as different as armor and followers.
