The developers working on Dragon Age III at BioWare say that they are planning to make customization one of the cornerstones of the upcoming action role-playing game, offering more options when it comes to characters themselves and to the party than the gamer had in the first game in the series, Origins.

During the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo, BioWare used a panel to talk about how it had plans to introduce levels that were on their own bigger than the entire Dragon Age II and options that would allow players to approach the game however they wanted.

The development team has also said that it will bring Flemeth back for the third game, although it is not clear whether she will be central to the story or will only make a cameo.

It seems that gamers will also be able to choose their origin in Dragon Age III, although they will not actually play them as in Origins.

The main character will also be restricted to the human race, although surprises are expected when it comes to companions.

It’s not clear how BioWare plans to mix more customization with the limitations of having only humans as story protagonists.

The company has already announced that the third game in its fantasy role-playing game series will have the subtitle Inquisition and that it has been in pre-production for a few years.

Despite this, they haven’t offered any details on the story, although most of the fan base is speculating that both the Warden Commander and Hawke will be involved with a narrative thread that takes place in Orlais and deals with the split in the Chantry.

Dragon Age III is expected on the PC during late fall 2013.

BioWare will deliver information on the game starting with the spring of next year.
