BioWare’s Dragon Age series may have suffered a bit after the release of the less than stellar Dragon Age II early this year, but the studio is still promoting it through various other efforts, including the upcoming Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker anime movie, which is set to appear in Japan on February 11.

The Dragon Age series has spawned, besides its two full-pledged games, various other iterations, including the social Dragon Age: Legends game, as well as various books and even a web series called Dragon Age: Redemption, starring Felicia Day.

Now, Dragon Age is set to take over Japan, thanks to a special anime film called Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, which serves as a prologue to the events from Dragon Age II. The movie stars a variety of well-known Japanese voice actors, including famous singer Gackt as the Knight Commander.

As you can see in the trailer above, via Kotaku, the movie does have a particular style to it and features copious amounts of blood as well as dragons, in the traditional Dragon Age style.

No word yet on if the movie isreleased in other parts of the world besides Japan.
