Dragon Age 2 Gets New Weapons and Armor Packs via DLC

Dragon Age 2 will be on the receiving end of some new downloadable content, in the form of the Item Pack #1, which is now available on the PC, Mac and Xbox 360 platforms, while the PlayStation 3 still needs to wait.

Dragon Age 2 has been out for over a month now, and, in case you feel that your experience throughout its campaign is a bit scarce on unique items, then you'll be thrilled to hear that some new content for it has just been released by BioWare, the developer of the game.

After other DLCs like The Exiled Prince, which added a brand new character in the form of Sebastian Vael, the Item Pack #1 brings things like unique weapons and armors to the role-playing game.

As such, you can now enjoy some special content, both for your own character, as well as for your companions, no matter their classes.

Check out the details about the three packs that will be included in the whole Item Pack DLC.

Mage Pack: Receive relics and mementos of untold power for use by your Mage and Mage followers. Features 3 follower items, player weapon and armor sets.
Rogue Pack: Gear up with new equipment for your Rogue and unique items for Rogue followers. Features 3 follower items (including Sebastian), player weapons and armor sets.
Warrior Pack: Lay waste to your enemies with this collection of arms, armor and accessories for your Warrior and Warrior followers. Features 3 follower items, player weapons and armor sets.

Dragon Age 2's Item Pack #1 will cost 400 BioWare Points on the PC and Mac platforms, while you can get each character class pack for 240 Points.

On the Xbox 360, the whole pack will cost 400 MS Points and 240 MS Points individually.

PlayStation 3 owners, sadly, can't get the DLC just yet, as BioWare can't distribute it on the PlayStation Network because of the ongoing outage suffered by the online service. When it is launched, the DLC will cost $4.99 as a whole, and $2.99 individually.
