Dr. Oz is a target of a vicious campaign carried out by people he irked, who are trying to silence him and thus deprive him of his constitutional right to free speech. This is how the TV personality worded a statement teasing this week’s episode, in which he will be addressing the allegations made against him by 10 doctors.

The doctors in question wrote to have Dr. Oz dismissed as Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery of Columbia University, on the grounds that his behavior isn’t that of a true doctor. In short, they accused him of putting financial personal interest first, even if that means exposing his viewers to serious health risks.

They also wrote that he’s nothing but a quack doctor for peddling quack medicine, and that he’s a disgrace to the profession for his lack of integrity.

As you can see in the video below, Dr. Oz has no plans of taking this lying down: he’s already issued a statement to deny the claims and to announce that he’ll be dedicating an entire show to rebuffing the allegations.

The way he sees it, he’s doing the American public a favor by keeping them informed. He’s not peddling anything, in the sense that he’s not endorsing X or Y product or treatment, he’s just informing them of their benefits, so they can make the best choice to improve the quality of their life.

From the look on his face, Dr. Oz means serious business.
