Reports earlier this week had it that no less than five doctors who had treated Michael Jackson in the months prior to his death were being investigated by police on suspicion of fueling the drug habit that eventually led to the cardiac arrest that killed him on June 25. One of these doctors was said to be dermatologist Arnold Klein, who was also believed to be the real father of the singer’s kids; he defended himself on Good Morning America, as X17 Online informs.

Klein, who has often been seen in Michael’s company and of whom the media said he used his position and the trust the singer had in him to make him an addict, refuted all these rumors during a televised interview. At the same time, he also thrashed reports that he was the biological father of Michael’s three children, as the media has been speculating for the past week or so. Still, it is worthy to mention that he did not do so by saying Michael himself was the natural father.

Klein strongly stressed that he was not one of the five doctors under investigation, while also hinting that he had at least some vague idea about Michael’s drug use. However, he said he could not interfere in any way because, at that point in time, he was not treating Jackson – still, he labels the docs in question “criminals.” “I feel horrible for what happened because I really, really love this person, because he was the person who was the consummate entertainer, that could get up on a stage and sing. And once he began entertaining, he… loved every single person in the audience.” Klein adds.

As for the pesky paternity rumors that won’t simply go away, Klein denies he is the biological father of the three children. He does not, however, say whether Michael was the dad, adding that he would rather not be a part of the media circus surrounding the issue. “To the best of my knowledge, I am not the father of these children. I can’t answer it in any other way. I don’t want to feed any of this insanity that is going around.” Klein says in the interview.

Because it took Klein only a couple of days to come out and speak on the many allegations brought against him concerning his involvement in Michael’s death (or in his addiction at least), it is believed this is just the first of a series of interviews that he’ll be doing on the same topic. With this in mind, go here to see Klein saying he had nothing to do with Jackson’s alleged heavy drug addiction.
