Greg KH proudly announced a few hours ago, November 29th, that Linux kernel 3.1.4 is now available for download as a tar archive, from the kernel.org website.

Linux kernel 3.1.4 is the fourth maintenance point release of the Linux kernel 3.1 stable series and has been released just to reverse a broken USB patch in the Linux kernel 3.1.3 release announced yesterday, November 28th.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.1.4 kernel. It reverts a USB patch that was broken in the 3.1.3 release. If you don't have USB isochronous devices (i.e. webcam, audio, or other streaming devices), you don't need to upgrade." - said Greg KH on the LKML mailing list.

Announced yesterday, November 28th, Linux kernel 3.1.3 brought a bunch of new USB drivers, as well as other network or ARM fixes.
