The first sales figures for PlayStation Vita software have just appeared, with Japanese retail tracker Media Create confirming that around 300,000 games for the new handheld were sold during the first two days of availability.

The PlayStation Vita was released last week in its native Japan and, while demand wasn’t extremely high, Sony still managed to sell around 321,000 units in the first two days.

Now, Media Create, one of the biggest Japanese sales tracking companies, has come up with a chart of the bestselling titles in the country, including the recently released games for the PlayStation Vita.

The bestselling game for the new device is, surprisingly, Hot Shots Golf, which managed to move over 61,000 units, followed by Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which sold over 48,000 units. Rounding off the top three is Dynasty Warriors Next, with a little over 29,000 units being sold to new customers.

Check out the most popular PlayStation Vita games in Japan below, as well as their positions within the top 50 made by Media Create that includes all the software sold in Japan last week.

No exact figures were given, but you can expect Sony to provide its own data after the first few weeks of the Vita’s availability in Japan.

Until then, the company is preparing the handheld for its North American and European release in February.
