Hearst Television Inc. has released the "Election 2012" iPhone app which boasts a friendly interface for users to browse local election and political coverage, such as articles, slideshows, and videos, from their local stations.

The Election 2012 iPhone app delivers local "Voters' Guides" with deadlines on voter registration, polling locations, candidate biographies, and candidates' positions on issues, as well as a "count-down clock" to election day.

There’s an Electoral College map, a must-have "photo of the day" and even the ability to upload content of your own.

Rounding up the features list, Election 2012 also delivers live election-night video, continuous news and commentary updates, election results, and Facebook integration.

The app is free and works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. It requires iOS 4.0 or later and can be downloaded via the link below.
