Save shortened links as easy-to-share bitmarks, view your saved pages

Bbit.ly Inc. has released its official iOS application that works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.

Users of the bitly service don’t need an introduction, while newcomers should know that the app simply allows you to “do more with your links while on the go.”

“Save, search, view and share anything from the web,” say the developers.

In addition to shortening links and saving them as “bitmarks”, the app also lets you make quick searches and instantly view your saved pages in offline reader mode. You can choose whether each bitmark is private or whether it appears on your public profile, and you can share to Twitter, Facebook or email with a few taps.

Other features include the ability to add bitmarks to your bundles, and see how many people have viewed your bitmarks.
