The popular ooVoo Video Chat app for iPhone and iPad has received a minor maintenance update that might just make your day, in case you’ve been trying to use the app to no avail with Bluetooth headsets and speakers.
ooVoo offers free video chat with friends on Facebook directly from your iDevice. All you need to do is log in with Facebook and you’re instantly connected to your friends.
You can text chat with any of your friends during calls, start a new Instant Messaging chat from the IM tab, discover and video chat with Twitter friends, automatically find friends that have ooVoo installed, receive push notifications, and track your history.
If you’ve recently updated to iOS 6 and noticed that your ooVoo video chatting experience is buggy, the developers suggest you might want to try updating to version 1.3.1, as it includes some important fixes.
For example, customers experiencing audio problems when using Bluetooth headsets and speakers may have iOS 6 to blame for that.
ooVoo Video Chat 1.3.1 fixes these problems, and even adds a new feature that makes it easier and faster to find friends to chat with, according to the developers.
Other bug fixes are also included, says ooVoo LLC. The app also supports landscape mode in iOS 6 thanks to a recent update.
The software is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd-generation), iPod touch (4th-generation), iPod touch (5th-generation) and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
Users who’ve upgraded to the new iPhone 5 but haven’t updated ooVoo in a while should be glad to learn that the software supports 4-inch screens since version 1.3.0. Now that you know all this, you best get downloading!
