Apple has released a new beta of the iPhone SDK version 3.2, a set of tools launched by Apple earlier this year, targeting devs with an interest in developing iPad applications. Available as a free download for those enrolled with the company’s iPhone Developer Program, the package contains both the latest build of the iPhone OS 3.2, and the latest iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta.

“This is a pre release version of iPhone SDK 3.2 beta to support development of applications for iPad devices. Please review the Release Notes and Read Me before installing this beta software release,” Apple tells registered developers. Posted on March 17, 2010, downloads are available for “iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 with Xcode 3.2.2 (Snow Leopard);” “iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 Release Notes;” “iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 API Diffs;” and “Xcode 3.2.2 Read Me.”

iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 is pre-release software, therefore Apple labels it as “confidential,” which extends to everything contained in the package developers are required to download. To download the latest version of Apple’s Software Development Kit for iPhone and iPad, use the link below.

Also concerning developers, Apple has recently unlocked new tools that allow iPhone devs and publishers to schedule the release date of a given application, as well as set price changes in advance. Posted on the News section of the iPhone Dev Center, the announcement goes, “You Can Now Schedule Price Changes for Your App.”

“A great new feature in iTunes Connect now allows you to schedule changes to the price of your app, including In App Purchase items. This feature is designed so you can set a single price change or consecutive price changes all in advance,” the Mac maker explains. Developers are encouraged to “Log in to iTunes Connect and check out this new feature located in the Pricing tab under the Edit Application section,” the announcement ends.
