iPhone Configuration Utility 3.6 is now out for Windows customers, enabling them to create, maintain, encrypt, and install configuration profiles on iPhones in organizations, educational environments, and small businesses.

iPhone Configuration Utility is also used to track and install provisioning profiles and authorized applications. Admins can also capture device information, such as console logs.

The XML files spit out by Apple’s utility contain “device security policies, VPN configuration information, Wi-Fi settings, APN settings, Exchange account settings, mail settings, and certificates that permit iPhone and iPod touch to work with your enterprise systems,” according to the Mac maker’s documentation.

Version 3.6 arrives with no changelog, but it is undoubtedly aimed at providing iOS 6 compatibility. It works with Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP1, and Windows 7, and requires .NET 3.5 SP1.

Supported languages include Deutsch, English, Français, Chinese, Español, Italiano, and Nederlands.
