iPhone Configuration Utility version 3.5 is now available to Enterprise users looking to create, maintain, encrypt, and install configuration profiles on the iDevices in their organization.

The tool (not to be mistaken for Apple's new Configurator app) allows IT administrators to track and install provisioning profiles and authorized applications, as well as capture device information (including console logs), thus being able to fully manage everything that goes in and out of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

It requires Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) on Apple computers, and Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP1 / Windows 7, and .NET 3.5 SP1, on regular PCs.

As usual, Apple fails to specify the changes included in the latest iPhone Configuration Utility, but we’re guessing it has something to do with the release of iOS 5.1 yesterday.
