Following rumors that Apple was preparing a new iOS 7 seed for developers, the Cupertino giant – within hours of the reporting – rolled out a new beta containing important bug fixes.

Specifically, iOS 7 Beta 6 addresses an issue with iTunes in the Cloud. Apple recently discovered (or was informed by testers) that “some purchases may download or play unexpected items,” according to the seed notes.

“If you have any devices running previous versions of iOS 7 beta, you should install iOS 7 beta 6 as well as a configuration profile that will allow you to reset the libraries within Music settings,” Apple says.

Developers must install iOS 7 beta 6 and the ResetMusicAndVideosLibraries configuration profile, then navigate to Settings > Music, tap the Reset Media Library button, and restart the device.

Apple has not updated Xcode or iOS 7 SDK as a result of these new changes.

iOS 7 Beta 6 is available as a manual download on the iOS Dev Center, as well as an over-the-air update.
