Cydia gatekeeper Jay Freeman, better known as Saurik on the web, has announced a new version of WinterBoard for jailbroken iPhones. The utility is one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks out there, as it allows users to completely reskin their devices.

Offering jailbroken users the option to completely transform the look and feel of their iPhones’ underlying software, WinterBoard now fully supports iOS 7 and A7 devices, such as iPhone 5s and iPad Air.

Saurik originally announced these new features in WinterBoard 0.9.3912, saying that “[it] runs on iOS 7 and seems compatible with ARM64; theme artists are encouraged to report any crashes/bugs.”

Since then, two more versions have been rolled out, bringing WinterBoard to version 0.9.3914. The full set of changes listed for these three updates (all rolled out today) can be found below.

In related news, the evad3rs have released updated versions of evasi0n7 for Mac OS X and Windows, addressing a few issues and adding support for the latest iOS 7.1 beta from Apple.

In other words, when Apple decides to release iOS 7.1 to the public, the firmware will be jailbreak-ready out-of-the-box, as they say. As usual, Softpedia readers can use the supplied links to grab the goods immediately.

Download evasi0n7 to jailbreak your device, then download WinterBoard to apply a new skin. Note: use evasi0n and WinterBoard at your own risk. Jailbreaking is not a practice condoned by Apple and it may void your warranty.
