Apple has updated the iCloud Control Panel which keeps contacts, calendars, and bookmarks up to date automatically between iOS devices, Macs, and Windows PCs.

iCloud Control Panel 2.1 for Windows includes Photo Stream, a wirelessly syncing function for photos taken with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The pictures go straight to the library on your PC thanks to iCloud Control Panel - “no cable syncing required,” says Apple.

Windows users looking to create an iCloud account need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 5 or later. Those who also own a Mac must have OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later. To access email, contacts, and calendars, Microsoft Outlook 2007 / 2010, or a relatively new web browser is required.

iCloud Control Panel 2.1 applies to Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7, or Windows 8.
