WinRAR 5.00 Beta 8 is now available for download for Windows users, so those who have already installed the testing version should get this new one as soon as possible.

The new release is supposed not only to fix some of the bugs spotted in the previous versions, but also to introduce a couple of new options.

According to the official release notes, WinRAR now treats files with .txz extension as .tar.xz archives, while the application automatically deletes incompletely extracted files when users cancel 7-Zip archive extraction.

WinRAR 5.00 Beta 8 also fixes a bug that blocked the folder tree panel from going to the archive root folder and an issue causing the solid archive update to be stopped for archives containing BLAKE2 checksums.
