With more than 100 million downloads on Google Play Store, WhatsApp Messenger tops the list of the most popular Android applications.

One of the few mobile apps that allow users to send messages for free in a convenient and easy way, WhatsApp is carefully updated monthly or even more frequently if the need arises.

The latest update for WhatsApp Messenger includes a single bug fix and nothing else. It looks like developers deployed a bug fix for service notification incorrect date of 1974 and 2110.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.9.1035 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.

Keep in mind that while the application is completely free to use, after the first year users will have to pay $1 yearly in order to continue to take advantage of the app’s features.
