The most popular cross-platform instant messaging application for mobile phones, WhatsApp has just been updated with new bug fixes and improvements.

This is the second update the Android application receives in the last several weeks. The previous update addressed some issues that affected Sony Mobile smartphones. In addition, it fixed a media upload bug.

However, version 2.8.7326 of WhatsApp brings more bug fixes for connection issues, along with several miscellaneous bug fixes and crash fixes that were reported by users.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.8.7326 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.

Keep in mind that while the application is free to use for the first year, you will be required to pay a $0.99/year afterwards.
