According to the latest surveys, WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messenger in at least five countries: United States, South Africa, Indonesia, China and Brazil.

With Facebook Messenger now out of the way, WhatsApp can focus on bringing more features and improvements to its application on various platforms.

The Android version has been constantly improved with lots of updates, but most of them are only available via the developer’s website and contain bug fixes and small enhancements.

The latest WhatsApp Messenger 2.11.137 follows the same pattern and doesn’t come with an official changelog attached to it. We suspect that the update brings minor improvements and bug fixes, which is why it has yet to be pushed on Google Play.

You can now download WhatsApp Messenger for Android 2.11.137 via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.1 and up.
