According to the available release notes for it, the new app iteration lands on devices mainly with miscellaneous bug fixes, yet no specific details on what was updated has been provided.
The updated software arrives soon after another version of the app was made available for Windows Phone, namely version 2.10.523, which brought along a fix for an issue where users on some networks got stuck at the phone number entry screen.
Available on Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, and Nokia phones as well, WhatsApp Messenger allows users to connect with their friends over 3G and Wi-Fi networks, regardless of the mobile operating system they are using, all for free for the first year (only $0.99 [€0.75] per year afterwards).
