Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Company Limited has released WeChat 4.5.0.9, a new version of the company’s full-featured mobile communication and private social networking app.
A free, cross-platform IM and video chatting client, WeChat offers group messaging with text, voice notes, images, videos, location data, and a lot more.
Version 4.5.0.9 is out in the app store with the added ability to carry out group voice calls in real time, and the option to invite people into a group chat via QR code.
Users can now search their chat history from inside a chat, as well as back up and restore their WeChat chat history at any given time.
The free app requires an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad, and iOS 4.3 (or newer versions). iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th-generation users get a native (full-screen) view.
