14 DAY TRIAL // Twitter Inc. now owns Vine, the nifty app that makes looping videos combining movement with stills. A new update to the app adds new functionality, as well as fixes for some existing bugs.
Vine 1.1.1 adds a new option to follow @vineapp when signing up through Twitter.
Ok, I'll admit the introduction didn't specifically state there was only one new feature to be had in this update. The rest of it fixes. But you should still get a good deal.
The new version fixes an issue that caused post thumbnails to generate improperly, and addresses a bug where incorrect avatars were displayed (usually caused by intermittent network connections).
An issue was also found to prevent some posts from being shared to Facebook, and Twitter’s engineers quickly squashed that bug as well. Lastly, Vine 1.1.1 includes crash fixes and other miscellaneous improvements.
