The Nokia Beta Labs have just unleashed into the wild a new flavor of their Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta software solution. The new iteration of the mobile phone maker's desktop application seems to be yet another step towards the launch of the final version of Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0, which is expected to land in the not-too-far future, its developers say.

There is a series of bug fixes, improvements and stability enhancements that users will be able to enjoy with the new release, and the Nokia Ovi Suite team says that it is mainly based on the users' feed-back, so those who will download and install the new version of the application should also deliver an insight into what errors they found with it.

“One thing that we’ve specially improved in this Beta version is photos sync, getting photos from device to Nokia Ovi Suite works now in much more reliable fashion. Let us know, if you find any problems in photos sync anymore with this Beta update. Also, we’ve continued work with performance, bug fixing and stability. Tell us how the Beta update went and did update work for example in office environment,” the Nokia Ovi Suite team notes.

For those that might not know yet what Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta is all about, we should mention that Nokia intends to make this application the only software solution needed by its users on a desktop computer. Thus, it should replace other apps available from the company, and it “automatically uninstalls Nokia Ovi Suite 1.x and Nseries PC Suite, as well as exits Nokia PC Suite if it is open.”

Those who would like to try out the new solution should also take into consideration a backup of all of their important files before proceeding. The software comes with support for more than 100 Nokia handsets, including S60 and S40 devices, and others are added to the list continuously. It only works on Windows XP and Vista PCs at the moment, yet Windows 7 will also be supported when it comes.
